An exceptionally good-looking system

“The best in-roof product I have seen” – Jim Kenney, Installer

Sunstation’s looks are a big part of its attraction for customers. Elegantly inconspicuous and beautifully designed, it’s a breakthrough in solar aesthetics.

Instead of sitting proud of the structure like traditional PV, the array sits low to the battens and is completely flush with the roof. Even the joints between the modules are seamless.

This in-line design is key to the system’s aesthetic appeal. What’s more, it’s black and sleek so it blends in better.

Cost-competitive

“Big time savings on every installation… fewer people needed for a job”Mick Donegan, Avonside Roofing

Think BIPV is expensive? Think again. Sunstation’s clever design and innovative manufacturing have made premium prices a thing of the past.

It’s now cost-competitive with on-roof solar – and the average installation time is just eight hours.

So if you associate BIPV with higher costs, you should be in for a pleasant surprise – and for a lot more customer take-up.

If BIPV cost the same as on-roof, would this increase customer adoption?

Simple to specify, simple to install

“Fastest thing I’ve seen other than C21” – Jim Kenney, Installer

Sunstation has just 8 elements. A typical delivery includes 50% fewer parts than an on-roof system.

The number of screws required is minimal and the system works with any batten spacing.

Tried, tested and trusted

  • EL-tested three times during production, ensuring that the laminates are defect free
  • More than 40 wind uplift tests, including a wide variety of roof structures and configurations
  • Weather-tightness testing with wind-driven rain and a vacuum, and multiple repeats of each test – far more challenging than testing to the minimum requirement of a deluge test
  • Tested with multiple tile families

We always perform a benchmarking test, perform multiple test repeats and use a professional installer to build our rigs. – We’re also the only manufacturer weather testing a full-size multi panel array – this gives more realistic results than sub-system testing.

We have extensive evidence that Sunstation will be the most weather tight part of a roof.

In short, Sunstation has really been put through its paces – and passed every test with flying colours.
